Rowan’s 5k May
This May, we’re asking all our supporters to take part in the 5k Challenge!
What does this involve you ask?
- Run, walk, jog or roll 5 kilometres
- Donate £5 to Rowan
- You can invite five of your friends to take part too, to keep the challenge going!
You can do your 5K anywhere, anytime with anyone. You can run, roll, walk, cycle or even swim if you want to… It’s about getting out and feeling good while doing it.
Looking for inspiration?
5km is two laps of Milton Country Park, or the Cambridge Dangleberries route which takes you from the Cambridge University Botanic Garden around the city via Market Square. If you feel like giving it a try, you can see it here. Let us know where your 5k takes you!
Where your support will go:
Rowan is a vibrant, independent registered charity providing an arts centre and forest school for more than 80 adults with learning disabilities living in Cambridgeshire and the adjoining counties.
Since 1984 we have provided a safe, creative, and enriching environment where the arts are used as a tool to bring people together and tackle social exclusion. We develop the skills and potential of our students while improving their happiness, health and wellbeing. We also deliver much needed respite to families and carers.
We believe that people living with a disability should have the same choice, quality of life, opportunities and aspirations as others and with your support we can continue to make this possible.
